Growing Requirements

Sunlight for Jade Plant

Your Jade Plant thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. It can tolerate some direct morning sun but should be protected from harsh afternoon rays to prevent leaf burn.

Wateirng

Water your Jade Plant sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can cause root rot, so keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy.

Fertilizing for Jade Plant

Feed your Jade Plant with a balanced succulent fertilizer once every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) to promote healthy growth.

Planting and Care

Container

Use a well-draining container with drainage holes for your Jade Plant. Terracotta or ceramic pots work best to prevent water retention and root rot.

Pruning

Prune your Jade Plant to maintain its shape and remove leggy or damaged branches. Regular pruning encourages fuller, bushier, and healthier growth.

Propagation

Your Jade Plant can be easily propagated through leaf or stem cuttings. Allow the cuttings to dry before planting them in well-draining soil for successful rooting.

Repotting

Repot your Jade Plant every 2–3 years or when it outgrows its pot. Use a well-draining succulent mix to support healthy roots and steady growth.

Common Pest

Common pests for your Jade Plant include mealybugs, aphids, and spider mites. Wipe leaves regularly and treat infestations with neem oil or insecticidal soap.
