Pachira Aquatica (Triple Trunk) - Plants

Pachira aquatica, popularly known as the money tree or Guiana chestnut, is a tropical wetland tree endemic to Central and South America. This plant is notable for its braided trunk and rich, green foliage. It is a popular houseplant that is thought to bring its owners good fortune and success.

Place your Pachira aquatica in bright, indirect light and keep the soil moist but not soggy. Allow the top inch of soil to dry before watering. Because the plant needs high humidity, consider placing a tray of water near it or using a humidifier. Every six months, apply a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser.

Regular pruning of the leaves will aid in maintaining the proper shape of the plant. Pachira aquatica is also recognised for being soil tolerant, however it's preferable to use a well-draining potting soil.
