Standard Kamini Plant (Murraya paniculata)

The Standard Kamini Plant, scientifically known as Murraya paniculata, is a popular choice among plant enthusiasts and gardeners for its captivating beauty and aromatic allure. Belonging to the Rutaceae family, this evergreen shrub is native to South and Southeast Asia, particularly India and Malaysia.

The nature of the Standard Kamini Plant is characterized by its lush, dark green foliage and an abundance of small, fragrant white flowers. These flowers release a sweet, citrusy scent, making it a delightful addition to any garden or outdoor space. Its compact growth habit makes it a versatile choice for hedges, borders, or even as a potted plant.

The specialty of the Standard Kamini Plant lies in its exquisite fragrance, which has earned it the nickname "Orange Jessamine." It is also believed to have traditional medicinal properties in some cultures, known for its potential therapeutic benefits.

Whether you're seeking a visually appealing addition to your garden or a fragrant plant to elevate your outdoor ambiance, the Standard Kamini Plant is an excellent choice that adds both beauty and aroma to your landscape.

  1. Sunlight: Place your Murraya paniculata plant in a location that receives plenty of bright, indirect sunshine. It can handle some direct sunshine.
  2. Watering: Keep the soil wet but not saturated. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch.
  3. Soil: Use well-draining, loamy soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH level. Adding organic matter like compost can improve soil quality.
  4. Fertilizing: Feed your Murraya plant with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer).
  5. Pruning: Regularly prune to shape and maintain the desired size of your Murraya plant. Pruning can also encourage bushier growth and more flowering.

Satisfied with the product

I bought this plant 2 years ago from lalit ji. The plant was sent healthy and in mature size. Two years since it blooms in full during monsoon season. The aroma is so pleasant . I would recommend it to everyone.
