Philodendron Painted Lady

“Philo” means love, whereas “Dendron” means “tree”. The plant was named Philodendron in reference to the fact that it is a “tree hugger” and loves to climb along with trees.

Philodendron Painted Lady is a beautiful tropical houseplant with uniquely variegated foliage. Its  velvety and heart-shaped leaves are splashed with bright yellow-green and light and dark green, giving them a "painted" appearance.

Philodendron Painted Lady is a small cultivar that is easy to care for and prefers bright, indirect light and well-draining soil that is kept slightly moist. Its popularity has been growing among plant enthusiasts due to its unique coloration and easy-care requirements, making it a great addition to any indoor space.

Features:

The Philodendron Painted Lady features heart-shaped leaves with short pointed tips. The leaves are generally 2-4 inches (5-10 cm) long and 2-3 inches (5-7.5 cm) wide. The leaves have a green and pink variegation, which makes them quite attractive.

  1. Light: It's prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves.
  2. Watering: Water your plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Avoid overwatering as it can lead to root rot. Also, make sure that the plant is in a well-draining pot.
  3. Fertilizer: Fertilize every two weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced houseplant fertilizer.
