Guzmania (Scarlet Star) - Plant

Guzmania plant is also known as Scarlet Star. It is a stunning tropical plant admired for its vibrant, star-shaped blooms and glossy green foliage. Belonging to the Bromeliad family. It is native to the rainforests of Central and South America, where it thrives in warm, humid environments. Perfect as an indoor plant. Guzmania adds a touch of exotic color and freshness to any space.

It requires minimal maintenance and purifies the air, it ideal for homes and offices. Its long-lasting, bright flower bracts make it a special decorative plant that enhances interiors with a tropical charm.

Growing Requirements

Sunlight for Guzmania Plant

Your Guzmania Plant thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sun exposure, as it can scorch the leaves. It also grows well in moderate to low light, making it ideal for indoor spaces with filtered light.

Watering

Keep your Guzmania Plant’s central cup (rosette) filled with fresh water and change it regularly. Water the soil lightly to keep it slightly moist, but avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.

Fertilizing for Guzmania Plant
